WHY VECTOR FORMAT?

Be aware that a vector format is always the cleanest, most crisp looking artwork produced, while an image format tends to blur around the edges and is used more for the web rather than large format printed material. Making sure your images are at the highest resolution will create an easy transfer to a vector format.

HAND DRAWN SKETCHES

We can create vector files out of hand drawn sketches, signatures, etc. but there are a few guidelines that provide you with a better outcome. Please follow some of these tips to produce the best results.

AVOID:

  • Shading
  • Light Lines
  • Small Details
  • Pencil Drawings
  • Excessive Color

TIPS:

  1. Use a Sharpie Marker for thick, dark, lines.
  2. Keep artwork below 8.5”x 11”. It can be scaled to size later.
  3. Scan into a .tif or .jpg image for best results.
